    Experienced communicators provide organizations with the opportunity to receive information and insights from the animals\u2014often information that is not available from any other source. Organizations can also convey information to the animals. Many organizations report that the insights gained from these sessions are helpful for daily care and for matching animals with adopters.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    The organization selects the animals and the topics to be addressed during the recorded communication session. The communicator discusses those topics with the animal and verbally relays all information to the organization. Before closing the session, the animal is ALWAYS invited to express anything it wants the staff to know.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    No. The communicators generously volunteer their services for the pilot projects, and GAV covers all administrative costs.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    No special software is needed. Participating organizations and communicators can use any mobile device or computer to request a communication session, attend the virtual session, and respond to surveys or provide other feedback.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    The pilot projects collect data that identifies each animal receiving communication, the topics the organization wants the communicator to address with each animal, audio and\/or video recordings of each session, and survey responses and feedback. This data is collected for the purpose of sharing with participants and others interested in the well-being of animals in care.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    The organization provides information to identify the animal and the topics to be addressed. The communicator and a representative of the organization attend the recorded communication session. Because the communication is telepathic, the animal can be anywhere. After the session, the organization responds to surveys and may provide additional feedback. Depending on the pilot, the communicator may also be asked to respond to a survey or provide feedback.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    Yes. Communicators do not offer advice or make suggestions about the care of the animal. They cannot provide medical diagnoses or treatment advice, and organizations cannot ask them to diagnose or suggest treatments. However, organizations can request that the communicator ask if the animal is experiencing pain or discomfort, the level of intensity and the location of the discomfort, the timing and cause of any injury, and what the animal may find healing or comforting.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    3. Verbally convey all information received during the session to the organization\u2019s representative<\/li>

      No. Some animal communicators do offer additional services such as Reiki or EFT\/tapping in their private practice. However, unless a pilot project specifically provides otherwise, each communicator agrees to offer only animal communication during the session. After the organization finalizes its survey and\/or feedback for a pilot project, it may contact the communicator directly to request additional communication or other services.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWill communicators provide advice or suggest actions or decisions relating to the care of the animal?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t

      No. Communicators understand that the organization retains sole discretion regarding any decisions or actions related to the animal\u2019s care. All communicators agree not to provide advice. However, animals may suggest or request changes in care during the session, and the communicator will always verbally relay the animal\u2019s suggestions or requests.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHow will the communication sessions be conducted?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t

      A GAV representative will host the communication session via a recorded audio and video conference and attend to provide technical support. The communicator and the organization\u2019s designated representative (staff, volunteer, or foster) will also attend. Upon the organization\u2019s request, potential fosters or adopters may join. Since the communication is telepathic, the animal can participate from wherever it is during the session.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      Yes \u2014 during the recorded communication session. For all other contact or correspondence, both organizations and communicators will communicate directly with GAV.
