About Me
My interest in activism and sustainability grew from the time I was a child growing up in Tehran, Iran. A series of life events and influences pushed me into the mindset of questioning society and never accepting the status quo as an acceptable condition for humanity. That interest exploded into a life-long passion once I watched Peter Joseph's documentary "Zeitgeist Addendum" and became familiar with systems thinking and societal re-design concepts such as the Resource Based Economy and the works of revolutionary futurists such as Jacque Fresco's "The Venus Project". So I worked tirelessly as an activist. I volunteered for The Venus Project and even lived with the great Jacque Fresco for a short time. I became an organizer for The Zeitgeist Movement and managed chapters in LA and NYC.
I did lectures and eventually made a Youtube channel which is still a work in progress as I improve my editing and media skills. And during this time I observed as society continued to fall apart from environmental and social crises. But as long as there is a chance to educate, inspire and mobilize people for a better world, there is hope. Now as I work in the fields of fitness coaching and construction, I try to envision ways of incorporating sustainability advocacy into everything I do. As a fitness coach I try to use a systems approach to exercise, nutrition and regeneration. When it comes to building houses, I want to learn ways of how we can develop sustainable and efficient housing for future communities that seek to move away from Capitalism's outdated methods. And I will continue to try to get better at all of this. This is my journey to making a small difference in this world and leaving a positive imprint on society. My hope is that we can all work together toward a world that is as Fresco said "...beyond Politics, Poverty and War." That is, a World Beyond Capitalism.
